Ahsan Usman Zahid
Deputy Executive Director
Mr. Ahsan Usman Zahid is an honors graduate from the University of Houston, where he received a degree in Political Science. In 2002, he completed the memorization of the Holy Quran from the Dar-ul-Uloom of Atlanta. And in 2009, he began his career as a dedicated instructor/administrator. He co-founded the Quranic Sciences Program in Roswell, Georgia, a program which has, since that time, produced dozens of Huffaz.
Mr. Usman has also taught in communities throughout the State of Texas, most notably as the Imam of Masjid Ar-Rahman in Baytown, Texas, where many community members from the tight-knit community began to strengthen their relationship with the Quran and with their Deen, under his guidance.
Mr. Usman co-founded Quba Academy with Imam Zahid in 2013, and has worked diligently since that time to mold hundreds of young minds and to facilitate the production of more than 25 Huffaz. His educational background and experience within the public school system has helped him in identifying and comprehending the challenges Muslim Youth face on a daily basis.
