Bushra Awan
Principal
Ms. Bushra Awan has a very strong background in Islamic education. She received her Master of Science degree in Islamic Studies and Arabic (Shahadatul Aalmiyah fil Uloomil Islamiyah wal Arabiyah) from Jamia Ayesha Lilbanaat, in Jhelum, Pakistan. Her master’s degree included multidisciplinary studies of Tafseer, Principles of Tafseer, Hadith, Sciences of Hadith, Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Principles of Fiqh, Seerah (Biographies of the Prophet SAW, and Male and Female Companions), Sarf, Principles of Sarf, Nahaw, Principles of Nahaw, Aqaaid (Doctrines), Principles of Aqaaid, Tajweed (Recitation) and Sciences of Tajweed.
She has taught Quran, Tafseer, Hadith, Tajweed, Islamic Studies and adult Fiqh classes at various Islamic centers in Georgia and North Carolina. With her dedication and skills, she was pivotal in increasing student numbers at all these centers.
Ms. Awan has also served as a religious speaker for many communities. She has been teaching at Quba Academy since 2014, when she started the girls’ Tahfeez class with a single student. At present, Alhamdulillah, there are dozens of girls enrolled at Quba Academy.
